How Likely Are Labour to Win Again After the 2024 Landslide Victory?

Winning 412 parliamentary seats is certainly a clear mandate from the British public. Of the other Labour leaders, only Tony Blair achieved more seats won, of course under the old boundaries, with 417. Though Starmer has gained a larger increase in seats than Blair did.
But of course, we are 27 years on from the Blair landslide of 97' — but just like then we have the same feeling of “things can only get better” and Starmer has said ‘a new dawn has risen’ in effect.
However, with such history upon our shoulders — it is worth looking back at some more data from the University of Birmingham to understand exactly what is happening right now and in the past few General Elections and why the Labour Party may need to work VERY hard to secure this majority through future elections.
